BYE BYE Israel

After spending a month in Israel hanging out with family and friends, we finally decided it was time to leave.
We had an awesome Rosh Hashana at Racheli and Jonny in Beit Meir. We did a few hikes around the moshav, had yummy food and finally met Major (who is gigantore)!
Spent first days of sukkot with the Rubins and Kafkas, hanging out with the family, having delicious meals, jamming in the sukkah. 
After that we headed to the Moshav Moddim festival for some music, art and good vibes.
We visited Tequoa, met up with our friends Yocheved and Shmaya and went to a private Yosef Carduner concert.
We went to Dani and ChanaMirian at their new place in Maale Amos and spent the afternoon with them and their kids.

After all that we could not wait to get back to our home away from home at Yael and Ohad's house. We basically spent the rest of our time hanging there. I joined the gym with Yael. We went to the beach. We hung with the girls who are basically little people at this point. It's always so nice being there and spending time with them all.

Ma Rabu!

Pont D'arc is stunning! It's a beautiful natural arc that was formed as the river grew. It started off as a rock wall and then slowly as time went on the river wore away at the rock and formed a magnificent arc that you can go look at. There's kayaking and water sports that people do on the river. There are also some natural hikes around. Luckily for us we were there right after tourist season so it wasn't too busy and we were able to hike to one of the areas that is basically right under the arc. After that we drove to Pont Du Gard which is a Roman built aqueduct bridge. It is crazy that they made this thing without any machinery! We actually went down to the beach that's underneath the aqueduct and went into the water. It was absolutely freezing but the water was crystal clear! Unlike the earlier beach, this beach was actually a rock beach so it was really hard to walk around with all those rocks under our toesss! Until Next Time... ...

Charmonix

Although our trip to Charmonix was unplanned, it was one of our favorite parts of France. It is absolutely freezing at night so staying in the van was out of the question. We had to splurge and spend a few nights indoors. “Words can’t even describe our time in Charmonix” - Yehuda. Our first day there we went up Mont Blanc. The mountains all around were huge with their tallest peaks covered in snow! We knew this was going to be a really special experience. On the cable car we took there were two stops - one halfway up the mountain and the other to the tippy top. We decided to go all the way up first. Our trip up was terrifying - we were going so high and the village below kept getting smaller. At one point we started swinging and there was a collective “ahhhhh” as we all freaked out together. Thank god we went in the same car as a church group who was praising god the whole way up. Oh Kathmandu

Our driver DK was amazing! He kept us entertained all day long and was great company. The first place he took us to was Budhanath Temple. It was a round temple with lots of different things to spin all around it. There were some shops in the area and we got a really good lesson on the different types of gurus and manifestations that are part of the culture. After that, we headed over to Pashupatinath which is an area in Nepal where you can view a cremation. They have two possibilities, one is a public burning and one is inside and is electric. Dk told is it wasn't worth it for us to spend money on an entrance fee so he took us to a road where we were able to see them decorating a body for the electric cremation. Our next stop for the day was Durbar Square in Bhaktapur. It was a very cute little area with some nice restaurants, shops and lots of interesting buildings.
